ESPN: Bans didn’t surprise Brian Cashman

Colon, 39, played for the Yankees last season. After only pitching in 257 innings the previous five years—and not pitching at all in 2010—Colon came to camp with his old 90-plus mph fastball in 2011. Before that season, Colon had unique surgery on his elbow in the Dominican Republic in which stem cell and fat-bone marrow were used.

Headline should be:
Yankees employed players they suspected of steroid use

I wonder how the posters on this site would react should the Yankees decided to not sign a player based on nothing more than suspicions and innuendoes? I'm sure they would look upon that kindly and think the Yankees were altruistic in their intentions.

How would we ever know they did this unless Cashman inexplicably shot his mouth off about it?

Oh, yeah. Never mind!
