ESPN: DS Umpiring Assignments

Joe West, Dale Scott, Gerry Davis and Jerry Layne will be the umpire crew chiefs for the first round of the playoffs.

I swear, MLB must throw darts at a dartboard when making these assignments.

Say what you will about the NFL (and I have), but at least they make some kind of effort to put the best officials on the field in the playoffs.
