ESPN: Hank the dog gets own bobblehead

The Brewers announced Thursday that popular pup Hank will have his own bobblehead night in September.

Hank is the little dog that wandered into the Brewers’ complex at spring training. The stray became the unofficial team mascot, and is now living in Milwaukee with the family of a club executive.

Bobblehead Hank night will be Sept. 13 against Cincinnati at Miller Park.

Brewers pitcher Brandon Kintzler says the team wants to help other animals in need. Part of the ticket sales from the bobblehead night will go to the “Hank Fund” at the Wisconsin Humane Society.

The Brewers will also hold an adopt-a-pet event at the ballpark that night.

A story that just keeps getting better.

I'm not a cynical person, but Hank seems too good to be true. He is a small dog who doesn't shed (I think, based on his coat) and seems very well trained after a few weeks. A perfect dog for promotional purposes. Plus, nobody has come out of the woodworks to claim Hank and make some demand.

Ehhhh, it's better than an Aramis Ramirez bobble head....

Francisco Rodriguez is the little guy who wandered into a cactus patch at spring training. The stray became the unofficial cactus mascot, and is now living in Milwaukee with the family of a Brewers pitcher.

I am a cynical person. I'm all heart-warmed out by this dog.

Definitely using the "heart-warming medicine" pun next time I post a story on this.

This whole thing had media/pr construct from the very beginning. There is no way this was organic.

STEROIDS

Hank the dog does not want to get into specifics. Woof.

I'd guess he's a medium dog, technically speaking. He looks roughly about as big as my Westie, who at about 17 pounds, is considered a medium dog.
She doesn't shed either.

Also, not only do you never see Bernie brew anything, he doesn't even have a license to do so.
