I only see 2 Yanks games on that list. Less than the Halos and the same amount as the CWS. Your bias is showing.

I'd like to see Tampa get a Sunday night game. There are lots of reasons, but I think the most entertaining one would be watching Joe Morgan, who I like a lot more than most people on this board, analyze a team that he would absolutely love while struggling to figure out who everyone is since he has probably never covered a game of theirs in his career and reportedly watches very little baseball outside of his work required viewing and the subsequent Jon Miller ribbings.

One of my favorite things about opening day '07 was that the D-Rays were on ESPN against the Yankees. I'd only seen them on TV during their interleague series with the Cards before that.

Good thing the NL champs had a Sunday game scheduled with the Mets, or the country wouldn't get to see them at all.

What's to argue about here? After that first game, which involves a brand new stadium in the Nation's Capital, there's only one downright slug of a matchup (Cubs-Cards). And since that involves an historic rivalry, you have to cut it a little slack.

As for all those missing teams: Well, if you're really a baseball fan, you'd be getting Extra Innings to begin with. People, over the basis of a year it's LESS THAN FIFTY CENTS A DAY. And Christ, this year you don't even have the excuse that it's only on DTV.

It looks like the only team that plays in the Pacific time zone is the Angels. Why do they hate CA? We play ball out here almost year round.

I think its because of Californian's notorious early to bed, early to rise work ethic, and they are afraid that 5pm PST games would only be half full.

Morgan actually said last year during a broadcast that he hoped they could do a Rays game sometime because he was really interested in seeing the young stars they have. Of course, he may know nothing beyond the fact that they have some good young players but he is at least aware of something involving the Rays.

Well, you're in luck. Looks like they're slated to play every game from June 1 to July 6.

It took a minute, but when the light finally came on, that was really funny.

If the joke made just one person smile, well, then it was probably mine.

Split-squad games, I guess. that ought to be entertaining.

They were going to have a game in San Diego this year, but you couldn't hear the announcers over the crying coming from Petco Park.

If there's a slight leaning toward Yanks/Red Sox/Mets between ESPN and TBS, I think that's forgiveable ... they do need to maximize ratings. As best I remember the TBS schedule, the two don't feature those three teams excessively.

However, it is discouraging to see the lack of respect for the other three teams from last year's "final four."

Keep telling yourself that. And of course, they have no one to blame but themselves for being in that position to start with.

Wasn't ESPN required to show each team at least once, or was that the old Sunday Night Football deal?
