1. Jose Can Still Seabiscuit Posted: May 17, 2012 at 02:38 PM (#4134062)I think shock. Body shuts down to protect itself.
Yeah, I felt pretty bad. When it happened I just off my couch screaming that it was a foul ball, how could the ump not hear that clearly hit the bat, etc...then I saw a replay.
That boy drank his milk when his mom told him too.
Apparently Will and Busta aren't even related.
He is not related to Busta.
I'm not a doctor either, but I'd guess he had a vasovagal reaction, most likely caused by the high level of pain. Heart rate and blood pressure go down, the brain doesn't get enough oxygen, and you faint very briefly.
That's one more thing than he caught the entire time he was in Pittsburgh.
Glad Rhymes is OK.
YOU TAKE THAT BACK - THE FRESH PRINCE WILL NEVER DIE!
I once did, solo in a T-37 at 15,000 feet. Pulled too many G's too quickly and went unconscious. Pretty damned scary, considering I could have killed myself. That was definitely one time when I took a marble from my luck bag and put it into my experience bag.
That is what happened to George W Bush when he ate the pretzel, right?
I'm no fighter pilot, but I passed out once after giving blood on an empty stomach. I got up from the bed, walked over to the table with food and water, and started pouring myself a glass. The last thing I remember was passing the pitcher and my cup to the woman standing nexting to me and saying "You better hold these". I woke up a minute or so later on my back on the floor, covered in cold towels with the whole clinic staring at me.
But yeah, your experience is exactly why I wouldn't want to pass out.
