Hey Al this is funny. If any 1 wants to chat with Dan Szymborska they can chat with him right here. Why do you need some kind of Chat Room Al. It sounds fishy to me maybe this is 1 of those things where he says he is Szymborska but really he is some kind of over wait middle age man in his Under Ware.

And everyone knows Symborska's not middle aged.

And the only Under Ware he wears is the BTF Thong.

In Jack Keefe's time, 33 is definitely the middle years of one's life.

Jack, the chat has to be on a site that loads in under three minutes.

I'm sorry I missed this opportunity to ask whether the demise of Adam Dunn is a matter of a player with "old player skills" following an expected albeit sudden pattern, or bad strawberries.

Szymborska was middle-aged in Jack Keefe's time.

Then why use Fangraphs? (It's probably just me, but if I leave fangraphs up on an tab too long it seems to cause problems... not as much as basebal--reference does with their stupid video if you happen to have 8 tabs opened up to it---or get one of the unlucky adds that seem to have a timer intentionally slowing the loading of bb-ref down)

I'm reading the chat, and right off the bat Dan summoned Bill James in talking about some type of law that second baseman must bat 1st, 2nd or down farther in the lineup. (Bill James said the same on Grace and Sandberg)

Also I disagree with his comments on ERA. ERA is a good backwards/value looking tool. I would argue it's pretty dumb to argue for a pitchers value based upon FIP, if you are going to use FIP, you should watch each play for a pitcher individually to determine how much the defense really helped him. If you aren't going to go to that amount of work, stick with the stat that actually deals with the results(of course I would prefer it to be RA instead of ERA but generally speaking it works well enough)
