Feliz dazzles in first start as Rangers edge Mariners

Neftali Feliz was a starting pitcher Tuesday night for the first time in his major league career, five years after he was one of five prospects acquired in the Mark Teixeira trade.

That’s a long wait for the die-hard members of the Texas Rangers’ fans base, as well as the front-office personnel who orchestrated the trade with Atlanta and had their curiosity put on hold.

The good thing for the Mariners, is they finally got their first hit ever off Feliz after 16 no-hit innings in his career.

What's that no-good SOB been doing for them the past many years while these folks have been patiently waiting? Nuthin, I tell ya.

Ooh, shut down the Mariners!

Seriously, any starter that gives up more than 2 runs to the Mariners has to be disappointed. :-)

Rangers must feel the worst. Their $111 million man allowed five!

Stop wasting some of the best arms in the game by saving them for the very end of games that are 95% decided! Anybody can close! Baseball is so stupid on some issues!

Alright...good to get that out.

Nathan just blew a save against the Mariners. How long before the calls to put Feliz back at closer start?
