Five-pitch nightmare leaves Choate shaken

The game was broadcasting during Choate’s warmups and you could hear the crowd cheering loudly when Choate threw one that Posada could get his glove on. Boston announcers noted that the crowd may have been getting to Choate before the game resumed. His first pitch to Nixon was a um, I guess a curve ball that stayed about 6 inches from the ground and nearly went through Nixon’s legs. The next pitch was a fastball over Nixon’s head. Pitch 3 was similar to the first except it hit Nixon in the ankle. The first pitch to Lewis was his best but it still was a ball. The last one was so far outside that if a lefty were at bat it would have gone 4 feet behind him. The crowd had no mercy. Ahhhh Boston vs. New York.
