HOW WILL THE ANGELS LOSE TODAY?!

HOW WILL THE NATIONALS BULLPEN TRY TO BLOW THE LEAD, BUT FAIL AT THAT TODAY?

Another week, another shitty league-wide uniform theme...
   4. Leroy Kincaid Posted: June 17, 2017 at 01:37 PM (#5478074)
Marlins are in Toronto?
   5. Franco American Posted: June 17, 2017 at 04:07 PM (#5478108)
They should just go ahead and make every weekend Ugly Uniform Day.

Agreed, ugly uniforms for the Cardinals. Orioles isn't too bad though, but kinda look like the Marlins.
   7. Franco American Posted: June 17, 2017 at 04:26 PM (#5478115)
Took one pitch for Bad Tanaka to make an appearance.
   8. Franco American Posted: June 17, 2017 at 04:27 PM (#5478116)

It's like every game's a Tar Heel scrimmage.
   9. Franco American Posted: June 17, 2017 at 04:32 PM (#5478118)
Tanaka proceeds to strike out the side with his next 11 pitches. I've never thought there was anything wrong with him beyond leaving too many pitches up in the zone over the plate.
   10. cardsfanboy Posted: June 17, 2017 at 04:32 PM (#5478119)
I don't know what a tar heel is. I couldn't even guess what sport they are famous for, for some reason I'm thinking North Carolina and basketball..
   11. cardsfanboy Posted: June 17, 2017 at 04:35 PM (#5478122)
Hey I got it right.
   12. Franco American Posted: June 17, 2017 at 04:38 PM (#5478124)
I really like the Yankees aggressiveness on the bases, despite all the home runs. Make the other team throw you out.
   13. Franco American Posted: June 17, 2017 at 04:40 PM (#5478125)
Love the first and third merry go round.
   14. Franco American Posted: June 17, 2017 at 04:41 PM (#5478126)
It's a slightly darker shade than Carolina blue.

   16. cardsfanboy Posted: June 17, 2017 at 04:51 PM (#5478128)
Bad Wainwright showed up today, 6-1 Orioles in the second, with 3 homeruns allowed.
   17. cardsfanboy Posted: June 17, 2017 at 04:59 PM (#5478132)
Wainwright removed with 2 outs in the second inning, 8-1 Orioles.
   18. Franco American Posted: June 17, 2017 at 05:06 PM (#5478133)
Good pitchers go through bad stretches, just like any other pitcher. Just sticks out more.
   19. cardsfanboy Posted: June 17, 2017 at 05:11 PM (#5478134)
Gyorko hits a pop up that should have been caught with two outs, and it dropped and he only got a single out of it, it was an easy double. This team is a horrible base running team.
   20. Franco American Posted: June 17, 2017 at 05:18 PM (#5478136)
At least he wasn't Khris Davis heading back to the dugout on a dropped popup in front of the plate.
   21. Franco American Posted: June 17, 2017 at 05:34 PM (#5478140)
Three HRs surrendered by Tanaka in the first four innings. Twenty-one on the season.
   22. cardsfanboy Posted: June 17, 2017 at 05:44 PM (#5478141)
Cardinals score two runs in the top of the inning to make it 9-3.... Orioles immediately score 3 runs to make it 12-3.... You know it's baseball, it's not impossible to come back from an early beating, but you do need to stop the other team from scoring to make that happen.
   23. rconn23 Posted: June 17, 2017 at 05:51 PM (#5478143)
Ready for this Yankees West Coast swing to be over. Come home early boys.
   24. cardsfanboy Posted: June 17, 2017 at 06:16 PM (#5478146)
12-7 in the top of the 6th after a Fowler 3 run homerun..... this game isn't quite over yet.
   25. cardsfanboy Posted: June 17, 2017 at 06:27 PM (#5478148)
Bases loaded two outs, and our backup catcher is coming up to bat.... uggh.... not the best situation to be in, you can't pinch hit for him since Yadier has already been pulled.
   26. tolbuck Posted: June 17, 2017 at 06:41 PM (#5478151)
After seeing several of the uniforms it dawned on me what the weekend's theme is. Light blue is used to promote prostate cancer awareness. Looks like MLB is using Fathers Day weekend to promote prostate cancer awareness much like they use Mothers Day to promote breast cancer awareness.
   27. cardsfanboy Posted: June 17, 2017 at 06:51 PM (#5478152)
If anyone does a 13 run pool, Baltimore is currently there with a 13-7 lead on the Cardinals after their 5th homerun of the game(Machado, Jones, Schoop 2, Trumbo) but there is another inning 2/3rds for them to get more runs(unless the Cardinals tie it or take the lead, then it's 2 2/3rds inning)

   28. cardsfanboy Posted: June 17, 2017 at 06:52 PM (#5478153)
8 homeruns in this game, 6 in yesterdays game.... not what anyone would call a pitchers series.
   29. cardsfanboy Posted: June 17, 2017 at 06:53 PM (#5478154)
Hardy ruins that 13 run pool driving in a run on a double.
   30. cardsfanboy Posted: June 17, 2017 at 07:09 PM (#5478156)
Since we were talking about solo homeruns in yesterdays chatter, Gyorko has 9 solo homeruns to lead off the season, it's barely halfway to the record for most solo homeruns leading off a season of 17 by Felipe Alou in 1966.
   31. Nero Wolfe, Indeed Posted: June 17, 2017 at 07:27 PM (#5478158)
Yangervis Solarte hits a 2 run shot in the top of the 10th to put San Diego up 5-3. Keon Broxton does the same for the Brewers in the bottom of the 10th to tie the game back up at five.
   32. phredbird Posted: June 17, 2017 at 07:35 PM (#5478160)
Geez if you told me this morning that we would score 7 w waino pitching I would have felt pretty pretty good.
   33. Joyful Calculus Instructor Posted: June 17, 2017 at 07:36 PM (#5478161)
Puig has two home runs today. He's been better in June, but probably just a mini hot streak rather than a resurgence of the player he used to be.
   34. For the Turnstiles (andeux) Posted: June 17, 2017 at 08:11 PM (#5478168)
Chris Carter had a golden sombrero on 15 pitches total (3,5,3,4). That's the player I remember from his Oakland days.
   35. LA Podcasting Hombre of Anaheim Posted: June 17, 2017 at 09:29 PM (#5478182)
Danny Espinosa comes through! Bases loaded single plates two. If there's any justice, these guys will keep hitting when Trout gets back.
   36. LA Podcasting Hombre of Anaheim Posted: June 17, 2017 at 09:48 PM (#5478186)
Pujols goes deep. 2-run homer gives the Angels a 5-0 lead, and moves Pujols past Ott for 10th all time in RBIs.

Please, Baseball !
Stop that Military loving, Cancer awaring, Mother's Day remembering, Dead People honoring, Hunter Pence Signs showing, Cubs adoring and Judge mutating !

Do not make a great SPORT crappy with your George W. Bush crap !

2 games and both in commercial break ! STOP commercialising !

Arrieta can't make it out of the 5th again. Didn't he have a pretty nice streak going for a while of at least 5 or more innings completed?
   39. AT-AT at bat@AT&T Posted: June 17, 2017 at 10:11 PM (#5478190)
And please, Cubs' fans, shut the #### up already about Hurdle or bad luck or just plain incompetence !
1 World Series win in 2000 years doesn't make you the NY Yankees oder SF Giants. Just shut up !

Andre McCutcheon !

*just throw another fastball, Grimm !
   41. AT-AT at bat@AT&T Posted: June 17, 2017 at 10:18 PM (#5478192)
#### you, Heyward !
   42. cardsfanboy Posted: June 17, 2017 at 10:23 PM (#5478193)
Hurdle is one of the top 5 managers in the game, so is Maddon, add in the fact that the Pirates are headhunting b-stards and that the Cubs are in the same division, and play the Pirates 18 times a season and there is a good reason to expect some animosity between the two organizations.
   43. AT-AT at bat@AT&T Posted: June 17, 2017 at 10:37 PM (#5478198)
Leave Nova in for two more (batters), then take him out. The Dusty Baker Move !

Bushnell high school changed their electronic sign to congratulate Garrett Cave on being drafted. That's got to be the most excitement they've had in centuries.
