Bryce Harper goes 3-for-5, hits first AFL home run

Where are Leonardo, Rembrandt, Ludwig, Bryce? Alive! Alive! Alive! They were born!

Bryce Harper played his fourth Arizona Fall League game on Saturday night. But for the first time, he stole the show.

Harper went 3-for-5, blasting his first professional home run in the second inning off the top of a party deck in right field. He added a double, drove in a pair of runs and helped the Scottsdale Scorpions to a 13-9 win over the Peoria Sagauros.

The 18-year-old is now 6-for-17 in four games in the league, counting three extra-base hits among the total of six. He played right field on Saturday and hit seventh, but Harper was one of the more integral parts of the Scorpions’ win. And he’ll certainly be the player everyone is talking about tomorrow.

Back in my day, the World Series was over before the AFL started. Looks like another night of passing out candy to kids while watching the WS.

Hope he doesn't blow out his arm.

...and then immediately after the game, Harper proceeded to punch a baby in the face.
