Here’s Every Single Pitch Of Jose Canseco’s Worcester Tornadoes Debut (Spoiler: It Didn’t Go Well)

The Players Union should make a public service documentary about Jose for young players.

That actually wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Nobody got seriously injured, or went to jail, or ground their crotch up against an unwilling participant... I mean, we're talking about Jose Canseco.

Geez, the pitcher pretty much telegraphs "breaking ball" before he throws it.

BREAKING: Has Jose Canseco's Twitter Account Been Deleted? [UPDATE]

Oh god, that would pretty much eliminate any reason for me to go to Twitter anymore. His account is ####### awesome.

I thought it was implying that Jose convinced another manager to let him pitch.

How is 2 walks in a game a bad result? .500 OBP baby!

He didn't shake is head back and forth as much as I remember and his stance was the wide open one. I think he went to that later in his career (maybe changed more than once?)

EDIT: I was hoping he was pitching too.

I actually read it as "Jose Contreras," but apparently that guy is still in MLB.

I saw that as "Jose Canseco's Whorehouse Tornadoes Debut" in Hot Topics and decided to go into the thread, but not the article.

That was spectacular.

I was surprised to find that Jose's only 47 (48 in July). I though he was mid-50s at least.

EDIT: I assumed that Jose was the last of the original Miami Marlins (the Florida State League team who played their last season in 1988 -- they changed their name to the Miami Miracle and played three more years). Jose played for the Marlins as a 17-year-old rookie in 1982.

But! Masao Kida played for the Marlins in '88 (and lost 17 games) as a 19-year-old...and he's still active, at age 42, with the Nippon-Ham Fighters! Go Masao!

Weren't the original Miami Marlins the International League team of the late 50s?
