HoustonChronicle.com: Ryan all they have in common

Everyone has their favorite player. Nolan Ryan was *my* favorite. As a child, I went full bore: Nolan Ryan poster, Nolan Ryan card collection, Nolan Ryan pitching motion, Angels hat, Astros hat, and Ranger hat. I’m not quite as fanatical as an adult. Although I still have my card collection, my only other Ryan related stuff are my Nolan Ryan pitching book, Nolan Ryan autographed ball, and first-born son named, for some odd reason, Ryan.
