More accurate headline would be: "Batter chases pitcher into outfield; Huge crowds stand around in Cuba."

Was that Pedro Martinez Jr. out there on the mound?

While one guy clubs another with a bat. Holy crap!

Note to self: don't plunk Yuniesky Betancourt when he plays in our local rec league later this summer.

I think he half-intended to do something, then as the batter - twice his size, carrying a wooden club and bearing an expression of murderous rage - neared him, he thought better of it and veered off and out of the frame.

Is it really so hard to film stuff like this? Why is every youtube video of a "real" event so badly shot? A shaky hand is one thing - you don't have a tripod. But long periods aimed at the ground in front of you, followed by periods aimed well over the action you want to film; what gives? Is every youtube video shot by a palsied blind man?

Oh, Jose Offerman, when will you learn?

Should I make the obligatory "free health care in Cuba" gag?

Naah.

And some people say that Pitchers aren't athletes...let them see how well that pitcher moved!

I also loved the horns chiming in when the crowd started chanting...sounded like a car horn and lastly, and most importantly, like most BB 'brawls', I started falling asleep after 90 seconds into the video...did I miss anything I should rewatch it for?

Seconds 0:02 through 0:14 are crying out for "Yakety Sax" to be dubbed in.

I'm surprised that the Mets haven't tried that particular color combination yet.

Did you see the orange-sleeved player attack the blue-uniformed player with a bat?

I don't know why but that was the funniest thing I've seen in awhile.

That was the most disappointing thing in this video. Right when it looked like the batter was going to take a swing at people, it was as if someone walked in front of the camera.

That said, I imagine those things happen because the guy with the camera turns his head to talk to someone, or whatever, and "forgets" about the camera.

Is this real or are these guys IMPOSTERS?

Me too. I assume he was going to go after the hitter decide to casually veer off and keep running, but he just looked very out of place running the opposite direction of everyone else. At first I thought he was running to the dugout for backup or to grab a bat for himself. Or maybe he really had to go to the bathroom, and he figured this was his chance to make a break for it.

I figured he'd read the situation & was heading for someone specific in the other team's dugout.

I like how there's a half-second after he's plunked where it looks like he's about to drop the bat before heading to the mound when he clearly decides, "No, I think I'll take it with me."
