Susan Mullen is against the Yankees!...oh, uhh…playing in the World Baseball Classic that is.
And not inhibited by the presence of a conscience, the snakes are already after Mariano Rivera. (I’ll repost the list of pitching injuries from the last WBC. None of them had been required to pitch in 13 consecutive regular and post seasons).
Will Du Puy and Selig pay his $30 million in salary plus untold millions more in compensation to the team and fans for his loss should that happen? Oh, right, we’re supposed to “collectively sacrifice” (ESPN’s utterly without conscience Jayson Stark) because “that’s the way it is.” Don’t do it, Mariano.
...No US team should allow any of its players into this event. In the meantime, FANS CAN STOP BUYING TICKETS TO MLB GAMES. STOP THIS robbery and slaughter of the game.

1. Flynn Posted: February 25, 2008 at 12:55 PM (#2699080)Of course, baseball becoming more popular in the rest of the world, will not benefit US MLB teams. At all. Nope. No revenues from merchandise sales and MLBTV.
European soccer teams are definitely not deriving large profits from their global fanbases, in Asia for example.
Jealous of her, are you, prosimian Joe?
