1. Los Angeles El Hombre of AnaheimOff Sonny Gray? The over/under is 2.5.
Juan Soto will make his second MLB debut pinch-hitting for Adams, due up 3rd this inning. Here he comes now!
I'm not the kinda guy who says, "I told ya so!" OVER!
That's the Nationals' first pinch-hit home run of this season.
Jorge Castillo @jorgecastillo
Juan Soto's 5 career plate appearances against the Yankees:
1. walk
2. 3-run HR
3. 436-foot solo HR
4. groundout
5. 433-foot 2-run HR
...............
wouldn't that be the best way for Kershaw to go "up the ladder?" start with the Mets, then pitch against a scarier lineup in AAA rehab start - then face legit major league lineups from then on.
Get this one, Yanks !
Wonder if he forgot the number of outs, or if that was just a godawful read.
We're just grumpy because spring didn't happen as scheduled this year. We went straight from freezing out an Ohtani start to 90+ degrees in one week.
Try the 80-Acre Wheat - it's a darker, hoppier wheat. Way better than the regular Boulevard Unfiltered.
Or, go check out the Crafts & Drafts bar on the Loge level in left field. It has a wonderful beer selection. Tons of smaller-batch Boulevards - more Belgians.
ETA: I think the Boulevards are $12.00 or so for a 22 oz. I think you can find yard beer for closer to $9 for a tall boy.
And.... there goes a Choo HR on the 4th pitch of the game.
If that is the plan ... hat off in respect. If not, go back to the A's or better yet, head to the Orioles.. Good job, Sonny
Ok, so he planned the Harper K, I take it all back, Sonny !
Even if the ball gets away on ball 4 the batter-runner should only be entitled to 1B, no? It's not a live ball at that point.
It's a live ball - on ball 4 the runners on base can advance if they choose if it's a wild pitch (which they couldn't do if it was dead). The batter gets 1B without peril of being put out - he can go beyond 1B if he chooses, but is at risk of being put out in trying to do so.
Oh jeezus ####### christ mr fossil.... No, that was never the game. There were a few players who did that, but not the norm.
....but a run scores on it and the runners advance.....lol...
Stanton had a game at least.
Mets in-stands guy asks the coach what is the area where Nimmo has made the biggest strides. he says, "Brandon's brother told me to say that I taught him to walk and chew gum at the same time - though I have't seen both in a while."
Mets announcers called that "Wyoming humor."
Molina starting to be Molina again, with 3/4th of the cycle today... guess which one of the four he doesn't have tonight?
The others are Blake Perkins and Yohanse Morel, and on the surface the Nats made one hell of a deal. Herrera's bounced back from 2017 and is now one of the best closers in baseball.
They've already said they were going to do everything possible to get the game in today.
It's not already warm enough there???
#cantanybodyhereplaythisgame
Not Molina, I assume.
I get the Phillies making bad move bringing in Morgan for no real reason, not really seeing the Cardinals bad move here. It's extra innings, you are limited in your options, Hicks has pitched the previous two games, Bowman was a trusted reliever last year so he seemed like a viable option there, not really sure what option you would have pushed there. Heck the team was effectively one good play from a win, and it wasn't like any of the hits against Bowman were well hit.
Maybe they need uglier managers.
bbchick, is that you?
IBB the winning run seems like a mistake.
