Jeffrey Loria goes too far in latest fire sale of Miami Marlins - MLB News | FOX Sports on MSN

After allowing the Red Sox - Dodgers deal it’s unlikely Selig can really justify blocking this deal. What should happen is Marlins fans chase them out of town with torches and pitchforks.

I’d say that commissioner Bud Selig should invoke his “best interest of baseball” powers to nullify the blockbuster. But frankly, the best interests of baseball would be better served if the deal led to Loria’s demise.

I want to know how Loria can face the people of South Florida, the taxpayers who subsidized 70 percent of his $515 million ballpark in Miami.

As if he is worried about "facing" anyone. The kinds of cash Loria has extorted from baseball in Montreal and now Miami buys a lot of "never have to see anyone vaguely close to 'the people of South Florida' unless they're cleaning the mansions."

The "best interests of baseball" would be served more by Selig going. Loria and the Wilpons would be chased out of baseball by any successor.

He should use it to nullify Loria's ownership.

Will Loria build an autobahn to Marlins Park?

Only if the numbers work out.

Zelig adopts an appeasement policy, while Loria adopts Salarhygiene followed by a jugend movement, all in preparation for a blitzkrieg on the NL east.

You realize that the more we pile on, the more certain it becomes that the Marlins will win the 2014 WS from the #5 WC spot.

What if the Marlins surprised us all and signed Greinke and Hamilton? Haha ya right.

- The enemy has made a breakthrough along a wide front. In the south, they have added Kris Medlen and are advancing toward 95 wins. They are in the nation's capital with Harper and Gonzalez, and in the north Utley has reached the front lines and strengthened their advance.

- Ozzie's managing will bring it under control.

- My Führer ... Ozzie could not mobilize sufficient forces for the assault.
