Jeremy Giambi traded to Philadelphia for John Mabry

Allaird Baird has officially possesed the body of Billy Beane. There’s got to be a minor leaguer they are missing here or something, right? Thanks to Arthur Copeland for alerting me to this incredibly strange event. Are the planets lined up or something? Is Billy Beane really a werewolf and there is a full moon in Oakland?

Is the Elias Sports Bureau now keeping track of the number of posts? Seems to me there were a few more than this awhile back...

I can't help thinking that the A's traded Giambi mainly because of off-the-field issues. But even if they were simply dumping him, you'd think they would have gotten more for him than John Mabry. Anyway, that's my take. Anybody else have any thoughts?

Fabienne: Who's conversation is this?

Butch: It's not a conversation, it's a thread, baby.

Fabienne: Who's thread is this?

Butch: Zed's

Fabienne: Who's Zed?

Butch: Zed's thread's dead, baby . . .Zed's thread's dead.

I'm game.

12/19/02. He'll stick out the season. 12 is my lucky number, and Dave Righetti (in a 4 way tie for my favorite player) was number 19. Seems logical enough for this thread.

My other posts are working fine, it's just this thread that has been possessed. I wonder if the ghost of the past thread has made his way to my keyboard, and keeps hitting the 'back' button and clicking on 'post this comment' . . .

It's time for an exorcism. I'm going to reboot my machine immediately after I click the 'post this comment' button.

If I don't make it back, as Sammy said said to Diane when she left to write her book, 'have a good life'. It's been nice knowing you all . . .

I'll show my cursed computer. I just decided to go home instead. I'm at home now, let's see if the ghost followed me.

Strangest thing though, I've been able to post to other Primer threads, just not this one. I'm home alone now though, so I'm kind of scared . . .

Well, I guess it's not your computer. Since you have posting rights I assume you have to log in. It must be something with your login. I'd recommend e-mailing Sean and going to bed with all of the shades closed. If you hear a knock on your door, don't answer it.

No Greg, I only have to log on if I'm posting a new clutch hit. I must have really pissed off the Gods by saying the Angels have a good shot at making the playoffs or something. I'll be watching my back . . .

I posted this the day of the trade. I hadn't refreshed my browser for an hour or so, and didn't see the post Sean put up around 4 p.m..

When I refreshed after starting this, I saw a 100 post thread already on the topic, so I immediately closed this one.

I can understand if they felt they needed to get rid of Shelley Long for off-the-set reasons. What I don't get is why they couldn't get something better than Kirstie Alley in return.

Since the DonMalcolm double post appears to lack authenticity?the homepage is different?I wonder if this some of this wasn't just some prank. Nice job getting the italics, though.
