Joe Beimel’s days with Dodgers apparently over (RR)

First Lowe. Now this…they must really not love the sound of breaking glass.

Unless the Dodgers change their minds, Joe Beimel will be pitching for a new team next season.

Beimel’s agent, Joe Sroba, said the Dodgers haven’t contacted him to express interest in re-signing the durable left-handed reliever, who is a free agent for the first time.

“My perception is that they want to go in a different direction,” Sroba said.

Dodgers General Manager Ned Colletti later confirmed Sroba’s perception was correct.

More like the Dodgers like valuable draft picks. They should be able to pick up draft picks from Lowe(type-A), Manny(Type-A), Beimel(Type-B), Casey Blake(Type-B), and the outside chance of Penny(type-B) if he signs before Dec. 1st.

I got the intro for once and was trying to morph this comment into something about always crashing in the same car... but unless you want to equate late career Juan Pierre to Chuckie Carr, I ain't got nuttin'.
