[John] Franco to be inducted into Mets Hall of Fame

The Mets on Thursday announced plans to induct former closer John Franco into their Hall of Fame this summer, making Franco their fifth new inductee in three years.

Wait for it…

“I am truly honored and humbled by being elected into the Mets Hall of Fame,” Franco said.

In an early version of DMB I played (Pursue the Pennant) I had the '85 Reds. Franco was my best reliever. I've liked him since then.

They should have announced him as being close to being honored, but then it looked dicey, and everyone breathed a sigh of relief once the vote was done...
