WTF is that supposed to mean? Manny was a pain in the arse and literally quit on the team, so they finally shipped him out. I think its pretty effing classy they swung a nice trade and now have Bay patrolling left. The FO had been dealing with Manny's crap for too long, I thought they handled it quite nicely, thank you very much.
Yeah, they should return those two World Series trophies, just to show how much they want to forget the Manny Ramirez era.
Albert Pujols is definitely next. Then again, a big name pitcher is due to get exposed. Perhaps Randy Johnson?
Who said anything about forgetting the Manny era? The dude could and still does rake, just a joy to watch him hit. However it was suggested the Boston FO handled the Manny situation without class and I disagree. Manny quit on Boston. They traded him, simple as that. Hey, I loved the fact that he was playing for my guys, he's a brilliant hitter and this news, though not overly surprising, just saddens me as a baseball fan.
Best hitter, 2nd-most games played over disputed "quitting" period. I never tire of hearing about this.
