GIF of the play
Looks like Nelson is like about 6 feet away when the tag is applied - at that angle, he should have still seen Cano's glove hitting Infante's side (the tag is in a weird place, but Infante is turned such that it should be visible from the first base side, where the umpire is.) Hard to say definitively, though.

Joe Buck arrives at AT&T late or JUST in time for the game []
Here's the problem: Nelson is on the run. He needed to stop to get a good look.
And what a flipping disaster it was.
CAN HE MAKE IT!?!?!
Couldn't possibly agree more. Good for him.
Hang on: Is Buck really
going to spoildoing both games?Yes.
Yeah. In fact, if the 49ers game had gone into overtime it's entirely possible that the NLCS game would start with just McCarver in the booth.
The run Scherzer gave up was unearned, so (if I counted correctly) over the past 42 innings, the team ERA for the Tigers, ignoring pitches thrown by Valverde, is 0.00. I don't care how bad the Yankees offense is, that's impressive.
What we need to do, is tell the team that they are behind 3-0 in the series and are behind in the score.
I like the idea. Make it happen.
Without a sirens-blazing police escort, there's no way he could get there in 30 minutes unless in a helicopter.
Eh. It was self serving. Had the shoe been on the other foot, his reply would have been 180 degrees different. Show me Lelend arguing for replay because of that call and I'll happily withdraw.
You won't notice a thing at home.
But only 32 Minutes on the Muni T from Gilman/Paul to 3rd & King.
They switch off between radio and TV.
And Tim will freeze like Garth in the second "Wayne's World" movie, where he had to host the show by himself. "I'm... having... fun. Not."
That doesn't mean it wasn't 100% true.
Also, as a Nats fan may I say #### the Cardinals. Thank you.
Ah. I was on something like that once when I was in Tampa.
More former Cy Young winners.
I'll tell you, the return of TIMMY!
I think betting on Timmy is probably even more long odds than betting on Carpenter.

Just got in, watched the play...... I'm the first person to give the umpires the benefit of the doubt for positioning, but there's no way he should have missed this one. it makes no sense.
Cardinals are throwing out Cy Young candidate Kyle Lohse, former Cy Young winner and post season ace in Carpenter, and Adam Wainwright, yes the fourth pitcher is iffy, but versus the Giants, I see both teams being a wild card.
FTFY
You could turn this around perfectly. Cy Young candidate Cain, former Cy Young winner and postseason ace Lincecum, and Madison Bumgarner.
absolutely agree.
Me too.
It'll be just like the Olympic opening ceremony!
Enjoy the game without it. It's only about a 50/50 indicator in any event.
EDIT: Re. 480
I feel like I am responsible.
FREESE! [X]
Recently I have been really paying attention to the time frames of these shows and they really bother me for some reason. NCIS is horrible with that, but it seems to be a standard trope nowadays to come up with a time span that isn't remotely realistic.
