I'm very excited for Game 6, though I won't be able to watch it at all. I'll have Gameday open on my computer at work, and switch back and forth from time to time. Hopefully I'll be able to slyly participate in this thread as well.
Oh, how I hope the Cardinals lose this series.
As the good dr. said, it's not going to really start until after the game and it should be mostly out of here by early afternoon on Monday. So both games, if necessary, should be OK. Might see a brief shower if it gets to game 7, but that should be it.

Well done, sir.
Just FYI, not a prediction. I also had a dream I was talking to Walter Bishop about remodeling my house.
At least one of you was on acid, I presume?
If they lose 3 games started by Vogelsong and Zito, they'd deserve to.

Regarding the last one... I heard two Yankees references already today... And I was watching NFL games!!!
(Braces for the apocolypse)
I disagree. I like it when ex-jocks are called upon to talk about (and in this case, demonstrate) on-field technique. It's the one thing they tend to do very well.
EDIT: Coke to Tommy Lasorda hater
I would like this arrangement if they were doing a better job with it.
You know, I had to mute it before that part, which I did watch with the sound off. In my defense, I've had it on since the start.
You don't have my facebook feed then... People are glad holliday is out...and even funnier someone posted a proposed lineup of Jay, Koz,Beltran,Carpenter,Double D,Holliday,Yadi,Freeze, and Darth Carp. And people actually liked it.... SMH. And he's one of the real Cardinal fans.
I love Fox if they have anything to do with the game not starting yet. Right now Canada's sports station is showing a Jaguars/Raiders game that's about to go to overtime and there's just a bar at the bottom of the screen saying "NLCS Game 6 Coming Up Next".
You wouldn't have if I were judging. For the 10-15 measures they were all on their proper pitches, it was fine. Otherwise, no.
I head one guy singing melody and two guys each singing different harmony parts.
It's over now, play ball
If not an unfriending offense, that's at least an off-the-homepage sin.
Hey, it's Jerry Lane.
I know, after reading Jose's comment, I sound like a dick, I'm sure. I'm a professional chorister, that's my excuse.
He shows up, this series is over.
you sound no different than usual
So both Rosenthal and McCarver agree that BP before a start is different than before a game when you ate on the bench but either wants to tell me WHY that is. The difference between the work MLB network does and the work done by every other station is pretty dramatic.
Likewise.
So they're still my #3 team, but I am starting to really feel like a Giants fan.
i can teach you much about being surly young jedi
Although, he caught it, so I guess it doesn't count.
Jay always runs terrible routes.
The worst part is I'm out of beer.
c'mon. jay makes his share of his plays
Wanna bet?
He does, but he takes a terrible route frequently. I don't think I've ever seen a centerfielder make as many mistakes on where the ball is going off of the bat than Jay. But he has very sure hands, has a never say die attitude, and will take the risky play where others play it more safe. It equals out, and in this year, it's actually made him a plus fielder. But it doesn't change the fact that he constantly takes either the wrong step or the less than optimal route to the ball.
Not really. I hope I'm wrong.
How bout, time to put the ball in play? Any time now.
EDIT - I forgot the groundout. So this is not accurate. But still.
Perhaps I'm not objective on that.
Dear Fox, if you want your director of operations to survive to his next birthday, you will discontinue the use of behind the camera shots during the pitch....
I keep thinking, those things are way too fragile to handle that pounding.
####.
Anybody remember what movie that was from?
let me know when you want to learn to harm people without physically touching them
You couldn't have planned that play better.
Singing out of tune? Oh wait, that's how you harm me without physically touching me.
I ####### LOVE it when the pitcher swings. Love love love.
agreed
the number on reason that ken macha was a horrible manager was his love of the intentional walk
Carpenter, stop the bleeding.
