Yeah, but does it come with my choice of toppings?
Amen, brother. Yankee fans- the real Yankee fans- deserved better, and it symbolizes almost everything us Yankee-haters despise about the franchise.
FTFY
He's so smart, he even realizes that it's David Phelps that's on the mound!
;-)
(CONRADIAN?)
After all the times I've defended you, you do me like this?
####### Cornflake ...
What just happened?
Maybe now I need to hand in my Yankee hater card - I feel awful for the guy.
Jeter falls down and immediately looks in pain

Things starting to get away here...
This. This is much like with Mariano Rivera. I don't like what they've done to my teams over the years and all the success they've gotten, but I respect them as competitors, and to see them felled like this makes the victories less sweet.
Agreed. Watching his lack of range cost the Yankees a game is way more fun than having it happen while he is being attended to in the clubhouse.
Never has a tendon been so aptly named. Even if that place was packed, I think the sound level wouldn't be much different than it is right now.
After the first run scored, they have to let a few more come in so that Ibanez can have an opportunity in the bottom of the inning to tie/win the game.
They need to let the Tigers score enough runs so that the lineup can work its way back around to Ibanez to hit the game-winning HR in the bottom of the inning.
Edit: Coke to #763
Sleep is for the weak.
I had the same thought. There was a little snap in the back of his leg when his foot planted with his weight oddly distributed - it was like it was OK, then it just kind of slipped.
If I were a betting doctor, I'd bet Achilles (maybe just a strain, not necessarily torn).
Why do you think we f ck things up so frequently in October?
...
And I still feel worse about the Nats game. At least I don't see a need to watch the Yankees get swept now.
I recently moved from NY to the west coast, and I find the 10am games much more frustrating to adjust to than the games that end at 1am on the east coast. I am normally asleep at 10am and wide awake at 1am, so that's probably why
Who said that? Waldman?
The injury itself isn't funny, but I couldn't stop laughing when Sutcliffe said that. He was so earnest about it.
At least it wasn't the worst managing ever.
Stupid hidden settings buried three layers deep in the directv menu.
He's on the international feed which is being broadcast (for some unknown reason) in Canada.
International.
I work on my own schedule, from home, and mlb.tv is a great (or horrible, depending on how you look at it) for a displaced Mets fan. I don't like being awake at 10am.
Hooray!!!!!
