this is a rematch of the 1916 World Series, which some of us remember well

Bellinger is the best all around player on LA. Legit defender at multiple positions and good bat.

I assume by 'some,' you mean 'Andy.'

Have the Brewers ever won anything ?!
Free burgers was their WS.

Tough one. I know he had the go ahead 2 run HR... but he still ended the series with .591 OPS. There weren't really any slam-dunk standouts, but still.

Per WPA, it's pretty close between Puig and Jansen, with Madson and Bellinger a bit back of them.

i gues i gotta vote for the dodgers because

1 - they got no DH
2 - they ain't the yankees/redsox who are basically the axis of evil empire now
I'm not saying the Red Sox are virtuous or anything, but if moral considerations are leading you to root for the Dodgers, you're doing it wrong.

#1 is totally valid tho!

Mvp doesnt really matter, but it'll keep Joe Buck for giving him #### for last year's struggles.

2018 was his Age 22 season.

Today's the 30th Anniversary of '88 title.

I might've given my MVP vote to Taylor.

There goes my hero...
Ryan Walton
@RyanWaltonSBN

Yasiel Puig just dunked a bucket of something on Bill Plaschke and yelled: “NOW YOU CAN WRITE WHATEVER YOU WANT.”

If true, that's awesome

That's like a Deion Sanders/Tim McCarver thing.

Sadly, WPA is not super useful for judging defensive plays, but that one sure seemed at the time to be a high leverage defensive play. Not quite Benintendi-level, but pretty close.

It'll be forgotten due to Taylor's catch, but I'd like to hear Doc's reasoning behind relieving Buehler with, of all people, Urias.

I saw that only half paying att3ntion and immediately knew it was Plaschke. Yeah, awesome.

Obviously the first-inning HR, and Urías over Wood. Beyond the better matchup, Urías has a killer move to first to keep Cain close. I think we forget that sometimes there's no unambiguously good move to make, you roll the dice. Roberts took a lot of #### last year, but he's not doing anything his bosses don't instruct him to do. He's there solely to get the player buy-in regardless of how things go.

At least they have a pretty trustworthy pen going into this series, one that proved better than Milwaukee's and is better thsn Boston's.

Taylor's catch still gives me chills. I love how this team with such extraordinary talent has guys like Taylor, Muncy, and Barnes step forward to save the day. Don't forget Taylor's HR in the Dodgers' key sweep of thr Rockies down the stretch.

Also Justin Turner. He's like some kid's loveable troll figurine come to life. Got a deep emotional connection to this team.
