Cards/Cubs postponed until tomorrow.

I'm hearing a massive PR power outage is jeopardizing Indians v Twins. Have Twins played a full series yet w/o interruption?

I like the postmodern twist in today's Omnichatter title.
   5. This is going to be state of the art wall Posted: April 18, 2018 at 04:27 PM (#5656102)
Yoan Moncada grand slam. He's been immense the last two nights. Great to see after a slowish start. Hard to remember that he's only 22. Those "Cano except faster" comps are looking good for the time being.

Something may have changed but last I checked they were saying they did not expect the games to be interrupted.

Orioles lose again. The chances that Machado will be traded during the season are increasing every day.

this #### is out of hand 1:20 minutes to play two innings in Oakland. I mean it's 6-4 but come on.

That White Sox/Oakland game is bananas.

halfway home in 2.5 hours. Moncada was 2-2 with 4RBI, a SB, 2 runs and a walk before the 4th inning. He finally made an out just a minute ago.

The Sox pen is so ####### bad.

Anyone saving all the Omnichatter titles ? I have almost all for 2017, but this year, too much work and too lazy !
Please copy and paste and make available as PDF !
   12. AT-AT at bat@AT&T Posted: April 18, 2018 at 06:46 PM (#5656182)
Athletics are somewhat freaky, good players, bad pitching mostly ... if they get to 50% , they should be made world series champs !
   13. AT-AT at bat@AT&T Posted: April 18, 2018 at 06:49 PM (#5656184)
Why is the A's rightfielder wearing a druid mask ? Is she from Puerto Rico or Cuba ?
It's like 70 degrees Fahrenheit in Oakland !

Ok, 57 degrees , but still. Not very druidy.
   14. AT-AT at bat@AT&T Posted: April 18, 2018 at 06:55 PM (#5656187)
And seeing the last days' scores ... are the Blue Jays trying to be SOMEONE ? or WHAT ? WHAAA AAAT ?

Ok, we need a Mets walk-off and an A's walk-off.

Let's be optimistic.
   29. Panik on the streets of London (Trout! Trout!) Posted: April 18, 2018 at 07:25 PM (#5656212)
Right now I'd be happy if the team could walk off the field so they could hit in the bottom of the inning.
   30. AT-AT at bat@AT&T Posted: April 18, 2018 at 07:25 PM (#5656213)
Will Matz strike out the side ?

Pick-off will do.

If you can make me laugh in the middle of a Met meltdown you're ok in my book. Cheers, and let's go whatever teams you root for. :)

$5 on Chapman !
   39. The Yankee Clapper Posted: April 18, 2018 at 07:36 PM (#5656226)
MASN indicates that the Nationals are 49-16 at Citifield since September 2011. Good chance at another win with a 3-0 lead on Ryan Zimmerman's HR. If he starts hitting and Daniel Murphy returns soon, the Nats could be tough.
   40. AT-AT at bat@AT&T Posted: April 18, 2018 at 07:38 PM (#5656227)
$10 on druid Canha!

   48. Russlan thinks deGrom is da bomb Posted: April 18, 2018 at 07:55 PM (#5656241)
Matz better be careful. He might be the one that gets sent down when Vargas is ready.
   49. AT-AT at bat@AT&T Posted: April 18, 2018 at 07:58 PM (#5656242)
Treinen is smart, doesn't give the dude named Davidson anything to hit. 7

Treinen for POTUS !
   50. AT-AT at bat@AT&T Posted: April 18, 2018 at 07:58 PM (#5656243)
Nice walk, that Davidson dude had two hits.
Get out of it now, then walk-off !
   51. AT-AT at bat@AT&T Posted: April 18, 2018 at 08:00 PM (#5656244)
Let's go A's !
Treinen gets out of it via grounder to 2nd base, with bobble and good throw.

SERIOUSLY ROSARIO?!?!
   57. cardsfanboy Posted: April 18, 2018 at 08:52 PM (#5656260)
So is Piscotty the worst fielder in history? I just looked as his war on bb-ref and he has -7 rField after 17 games.... I'm not even sure how that is humanly possible at a corner position.
   58. Jose is an Absurd Force of Nature Posted: April 18, 2018 at 09:14 PM (#5656266)
James Shields makes it ten pitchers for the ChiSox.
   59. Russlan thinks deGrom is da bomb Posted: April 18, 2018 at 09:52 PM (#5656272)
If the Mets can hold on to this 7-run lead, this will be a nice win for them. Getting swept at home especially losing the first game like that would not have been nice.
   60. Howie Menckel Posted: April 18, 2018 at 09:59 PM (#5656273)
Mets and Nationals with rookie managers.

Mets guy goes to his 5th pitcher of the 8th inning Monday still with a 6-4 lead

tonight, Nats guy seems to have "learned" from that. so he's up 4-2 and decides to go with 37-yr-old Ryan Madson for a 3rd straight night. sure, he missed 2012-14 seasons and couldn't lift his arm, but he's been really really good since then!

guy has NOTHING, but is left in there to allow 4 runs on 5 hits. Solis, who probably fell asleep in mid-inning, awakens to walk a couple of guys and it's 7-4. now Cespedes against hapless AJ Cole, who presumably was busy flirting with girls in the stands.

one grand slam later, it's Mets 11-4.

the Mets fan self-immolation you see here is all NYC. but the roster has a host of hitters over 30 - AGonzalez, ACabrera, Frazier, Cespedes, Bruce, Reyes - for whom this is not their first rodeo.

if this team of hitters immolates, it won't be self-imposed.
   61. Lassus Posted: April 18, 2018 at 10:22 PM (#5656283)
You can all thank me for that win, because I specifically stopped watching at the end of the 7th inning, on purpose.

You're welcome.

Grand slam for Devers. 6-0 Sox.

And that's really fun right now. But the team ERA of 2.82 is what makes me happiest. Cherry pick alert...but you take out the Price game against NY and the starters ERA has be sitting around a buck .75 or something crazy. I don't know how to search on that, but the pen is coughing up for more runs then the starters are. It's been an insane start.

Not counting today: Starters 20 RA in 88 IP. Relievers 28 RA (1 unearned) in 62 IP

Porcello has been getting lucky today though. He could have coughed up a half dozen by now easy.
   67. Los Angeles El Hombre of Anaheim Posted: April 18, 2018 at 11:20 PM (#5656302)
The Angels have totally let Porcello off the hook. Might be an early night for me.

Sale, Devers, Moncada will always be linked in my mind.

Indians & Twins trying to show support for Puerto Rico by never leaving the island. 15th inning.

EDIT: 16th inning now.
   71. The Yankee Clapper Posted: April 19, 2018 at 12:21 AM (#5656318)
Indians may have decided they want to go home, booting an apparent double play ball in bottom of 16th. 1st & 3rd nobody out - now bases loaded after IBB.

EDIT: It's over, 2-1 Twins.

More Red Sox homers. I think they may have exceeded their total from last year already.

I'm bailing on the rest of the game.

Apparently the hitting coach is employing new strategies. If one of them is hit more homers and score more runs then they've been listening!

Geez now even Moreland hit a homer. The world is well and truly meant to end soon.
