Let’s Go Tribe’s Hall of Fame voting results

They used the same voting format as the Deadspin poll where people have unlimited ballot space. If this is an indication of how Deadspin is going to vote, then that ballot would be: Maddux, Thomas, Glavine, Piazza, Biggio, Bagwell, Bonds, Clemens, and Schilling with all but Schilling with at least 63%. Raines came in 10th place with 46%.

That's the best ballot i have seen. It's literally perfect.

Except for, you know, the not having anywhere near enough guys getting elected.

Wow, how about that picture of Maddux. He's hung over (I assume) and he desperately needs wardrobe counseling. It's hard to believe that's one of the best athletes of the last 25 years.

Edit: I'd wager if Raines were in 10th place at 46% Deadspin would include him via fiat. That's a very solid ballot, though, even absent Raines.

ETA: I TOTALLY MISREAD THEIR VOTING STYLE. BELOW IS NOT ACCURATE:

Raines, Biggio, Schilling, Trammell, Mussina, McGwire, Walker, Sosa, Martinez, Palmeiro, Kent, and McGriff. And by our voting Palmeiro, Kent and McGriff would have fallen off the ballot. When we did the same thing for Posnanski's ballot a few months back we elected seven (#151). 7 is a huge class, but it still left a huge backlog of Raines, Biggio, Schilling, Trammell, Mussina, McGwire, Walker, Sosa, Martinez, Palmeiro, Kent, and McGriff. And Palmeiro, Kent, and McGriff would have fallen off the ballot failing to get 5%.

If we have more than Maddux I'll be surprised, if we have more than 3 inductees I'll be pleasantly surprised, but it would take an unprecedented number of electees to even come close to making things easier next year.
