Longhorn infielder arrested for evading arrest, marijuana possession

Didn’t the Cardinals have Jordan Etier high on their draft chart?

Jordan Etier, an infielder with the University of Texas Longhorns baseball team, was arrested Saturday afternoon and charged with two misdemeanors: Evading Arrest and Possession of Marijuana (less than 2 oz.).

According to a police affidavit, a person witnessed two men urinating beneath a pedestrian bridge on the 1800 block of Trinity Street and told a nearby police officer.

When the officer approached the two, Etier took off running with the officer in pursuit.

After being chased for two blocks, he was arrested in the second story of a parking garage. Police say they then saw him throw an object outside into bushes below.

When officers searched the bushes, they found an ATM receipt belonging to Etier wrapped around what they believe to be marijuana.

...and Scott Sauerbeck, who inexplicably still spends his spare time hiding in shrubbery.

the root of the problem is the lack of public urinals in America.

so if he didn't wrap it in his f'n ATM receipt they wouldn't be able to charge him, right?

I initially read the title as Evan Longoria arrested for pot.

Depends. If the officer says he saw the pot thrown and saw where it fell and retrieved it, why wouldn't they charge Eiter with possession?

Longhorns had a home football game Saturday afternoon. This location isn't far from the stadium, and is an area near a lot of tail gating parties.

They should have time him as he was running. The UT football team needs some help this season.

Because that's not enough for a conviction. He says he threw something else away, it's not his fault someone stashed a bag of pot in a nearby bush? Can't really disprove that.
