ESPN: Lou is a grownup…..

The lead story is about Sorinao having an owie.  But later on Lou explains his remarks in reaction to Jason Marquis.

“The whole thing here basically was I wasn’t expecting it,” Piniella said. “It sort of surprised me. But I should have handled it better, and I apologize.”

Cub fans keep talking about the starting pitching or Derek Lee or Soto as being the keys to retaining the divisional crown.  I say the best asset the Cubs have is a manager who not only doesn’t give games away but has the requisite emotional maturity for the job.

This more than anything is where teams like Milwaukee struggle.  Just a tad.
