It'll be interested to see where Montero ends up in these lists. There seems to be slightly less consensus that he will never play catcher in the majors and I really think that even if he's a first baseman/DH, he's still incredibly valuable. Because of that, I feel like he's a little underrated here (fully acknowledging that I no longer have the time to keep up on prospects much). I'm not sure why a guy like Justin Smoak, who is three years older than him and a first baseman, would be ranked in front of him for example.

Any praise of Justin Smoak immediately jumps to a Mark Teixeira comp for me. If you think that Smoak has a very high chance of being Teixeira and that Montero might be David Ortiz, it's not entirely unreasonable to put Smoak on top.

I think Montero is far too low at 19.

"I think Montero is far too low at 19."

It is. Law has him at 10, which seems about right.

This list has Brett Wallace about 15 spots higher than Michael Taylor. Most lists had Taylor as being a little bit higher. </A's hijack>

Tigers notes: Austin Jackson is 38 on this list, 70 on Law's. Law has Crosby at 45, Crosby not on MLB's. Turner cracks the MLB top 50, Law has him in the 80s somewhere.

This is the very first time I've seen Mike Stanton's name, which is odd, because I knew* everyone else in the top 20.

* I could at least tell you what position they played and what team's system they were in.

NYM 0? I thought their great catchers alone would make up a tenth of this list.

You probably just confused him for the pitcher before.
