1. Into the Void Posted: November 18, 2011 at 09:41 PM (#3996774)The logo is the seventh in Toronto's 35-year history and its third major redesign.
Seventh? Geez.
The first logo was introduced in 1976 and spanned 20 seasons before a change was implemented in 1997.
The Blue Jays were wearing 80s-style uniforms in the 1970s...unfortunately, they were still wearing them in the 1990s...
Or like....
Gah! Agree with the rest.

They take a homey approach as opposed to the apocalyptic one Toronto used.
The team will, according to the vid, be outfitting 10,000 local little leaguers in various Pads' unis.
I actually think that the fanbase would respond most favorably to a return to brown and gold, using the 1969-70 design.
The Blue Jays never should have changed the uniforms to begin with.
but seriously - how many times have we had a retro "throwback" that didn't blow up in our faces? I'm flabbergasted that they actually got something right..
My family picked me up a Jays jersey this season, so I can't really justify picking one up next season.
The hat, however, I'm definitely grabbing when available.
I actually left my beloved Orioles hat at a pub a couple weeks ago so I'm in the market for a new cap. Sounds like a perfect Christmas gift.
The article is inaccurate on this point. It's actually the fifth logo, and one of those (the so-called T-Bird) was only used as an interim primary logo in 2003. The part about this being the third major uniform redesign is correct.
Nice logo.
Great job on the logo too.
