Only if it is a confederate statue

I can't believe that Jorge Mas was not selected. This revamped Jeter group seemed to emerge out of nowhere after being left for dead and now suddenly is "on track" for Rob Manfred to consider. I guess they want the complete montage with Jeter standing for Truth, Justice, and the American Way!!11!!

I expect his ownership tenure to be marked by mis-steps of similar scope and magnitude as Loria's apparent misfeasance.

The "sculpture" is a reminder of the Loria regime and abuses and it must go!

To the surprise of no one, except perhaps Samson - New Owners Won't Keep David Samson As Team President.

You sculpture-haters are all philistines.

Loria has made zero mis-steps that I know of. He accomplished exactly what he wanted to accomplish, almost without fail. He's evil, not stupid.

Pretty good week for Jeter. First, the Marlins deal goes through, and then Baby Jeter arrives - Bella Raine Jeter, born August 17. I assume Furtado will send the usual BBTF baby gift.

...Loria's apparent misfeasance*.

* misfeasance
noun, Law.
1. a wrong, actual or alleged, arising from or consisting of affirmative action.
2. the wrongful performance of a normally lawful act; the wrongful and injurious exercise of lawful authority.

Reading is fundamental.

Jeffrey Loria says "there's no sadness whatsoever - I love this game" when asked to describe feelings as ownership winds down. Loria said his reasons for selling Marlins are "very personal." Would not elaborate.

So it sounds like Samson cut him off. Well, those Winter-Spring relationships are usually doomed anyway.

Miami Herald story.
