MLB: Fan arrested after altercation with Street

He don’t hang around with the gang no more
Out in the Street…

According to a member of stadium security who requested anonymity, the episode began when Coles, who was seated in a section reserved for A’s family members and friends, started getting verbally abusive toward A’s players.

“He was out of hand, all kinds of terrible language ... and I guess Street heard it or saw it from the dugout, so he asked us to get the guy out of there,” said the security guard. “We did, and that should have been the end of it.”

It wasn’t.

According to the security guard’s account, which was confirmed by Street, the situation escalated as Street and his wife, Lacey, were leaving the stadium after the game. They said Coles started yelling at the couple, who was being escorted out by security.

“The guy was totally out of control,” Street said.

The security guard said Coles was warned to leave the scene by security guards who positioned themselves between Coles and the Streets, and then Coles allegedly tried to break past them before being forcibly restrained and arrested.

Note to Coles: Street may seem like a sensitive guy, going shoe-shopping catching the Sex and the City movie with Lacey, but he will not hesitate to #### you up with his secret ninja moves.

I once had an altercation with a street sign. Never a whole Street, though.

Come to think of it, that might have also been in Anaheim after closing a few local bars. Maybe it was Miami. Could've been my living room.

No kidding #1.

I'm assuming somebody athletic enough to throw a fastball 90+ MPH is the last person you want to catch a right hook from.

Perhaps, but you can ask Brien Taylor about how smart it is to punch someone with your pitching hand.

Which just shows that Street is smart enough to call for the ample security the team provides. Not that he couldn't have taken out the idiot, but why should he bother, when people paid to do so are available and happy to get a chance to contribute to the team?

According the OC Register, the drunk did not even realize that Street was a major league baseball player. Street was the one who told security that enough was enough with mister "Clever Catcall" and the drunk got Street's face over that.
