I dislike E.W. Scripps. I dislike Scripps. I dislike Scripps a lot.

My favorite actual baseball tongue twister is an object I own:

"Extra-Large Shin-Soo-Choo T-Shirt."

There's no reason for any camera or microphone to be pointed at him.

Ever.

I remember almost feeling sorry for him when I met him, because with that speech impediment, he'd NEVER be able to get a job in radio

I had never seen or heard this guy until this thread. Wow. I can't believe he gets paid to do that for a living.

I don't miss cable TV at all.

Wait, you played against Larry Csonka in high school? How old are you???

Back to Russo: When even Dan Plesac is mocking you, it's probably time to seek refuge in a monastery.

A face made for radio and a voice made for closed captioning.

I guess the name "jmac66" means he graduated high school in 1966. Or college. (Larry Csonka born 1946)

That's as disappointing as playing Marco Polo with Helen Keller.

Any spot involving Russo is the one thing on MLB Network that has me racing to the remote to change the channel to, well, literally almost anything else.
   13. Rob_Wood Posted: July 18, 2014 at 12:57 AM (#4753382)
I remember when MLB Network did a roundtable on the Hall of Fame more than a year ago, Russo was the only one that made no sense. Then they turned around and hired him.

I think the only reason they gave Russo a show was to make Intentional Talk seem watchable.

Yes, Russo is a clown, etc. and I haven't heard him since he left WFAN. But I grew up listening to shitty sports talk radio, so there is a little nostalgia there. See: this rant on terrible New York fans from the summer of 2000

Russo was an entertaining part of my childhood. Screw you all for crapping on him!

You're a bad person and you should feel bad.

Did you love that thing where Russo and Francessa would spend 30 minutes very slowly guessing what the TV ratings were for each football game?

The misson: find a human being more irritating than Kevin Millar. They said it couldn't be done...

I didn't say it was a good childhood.

Every Monday, though it really picked up steam when they got to Rangers-Flyers, the Kemper Open...
