MLB: Pena powers Rays with walk-off shot

ST. PETERSBURG—Just three outs from their first home series loss in 45 days, the American League East-leading Rays relied on what has been a tried-and-true formula this season: the walk-off.

Tampa Bay rallied from a three-run deficit on Wednesday afternoon to top the Tribe, 10-7, on a three-run homer from Carlos Pena in the bottom of the ninth inning

Six runs without an out in the bottom of the 9th to win.  Sox and Yankee fans: look upon the Rays’ works, ye mighty, and despair!

Let the Bosox and Yankee fans despair. Most of America west of the Delaware River exults!

I would love to know what in the world Wedge was doing rolling Mujica out there to pitch the ninth. I'm not sure anyone in the bullpen, except maybe Rafael Perez, has any idea what their role is.

And Sal Fasano at first base, playing about a mile off the line when Hinske hit the double. Sal Fasano at first base!

Ugh. Awful. Just awful.

Stupid Rays and their stupid player with their stupid good baseball playing.

Stupid jerks.

Well, in fairness, if you play Sal Fasano off the line like that, you can usually figure his mustache will knock down almost anything hit toward the RF corner. Doesn't always work though.

wait, I'm sorry, what?!! My god, the Indians are an even bigger trainwreck than I had imagined. It's bad enough you have Sal Fasano on your active roster, but that is just shitbat insane.
