MLB: Sullivan: How ‘bout them Rangers! Texas takes Game 3

And they even used Ollie Perez Feliz (thanks McCarver!).

Colby Lewis proved to be the perfect answer for Matt Cain, and the Texas right-hander has pitched the Rangers back into the 106th World Series.

Lewis allowed two runs on five hits over 7 2/3 innings in pitching the Rangers to a 4-2 victory over the Giants in Game 3 at the Ballpark in Arlington on Saturday. Texas, which lost the first two in San Francisco, is still down 2-1, but Lewis’ clutch performance saved his club from a far more untenable position.

The Rangers, who were shut down completely by Cain in Game 2, also found their long-ball stroke. Mitch Moreland hit a three-run home run off left-hander Jonathan Sanchez in the second inning and Josh Hamilton belted his first World Series long ball in the fourth. It was Moreland’s first Major League home run off a left-hander.

Seems like it was a fun game. Kind of a quiet chatter, but I guess people were out halloweening.

Indeed; I watched it at a block party, on an enormous projection TV set up on the neighbors' lawn. People kept driving up to watch a half-inning from their cars, or just to ask the score – at one point including a fire truck full of firemen.
