Another Expos phenom? As evidenced by his 64 stolen bases, the 21 yaar-old Wilken Ruan certainly is fast. But it takes more than speed to make it as a lead-off man. The twenty-four walks he earned in 2000 indicates he needs to learn a little patience. A 24/75 walk-to-strikeout ratio doesn’t point toward a great future. By the way, Baseball America only ranks Wilken as the 9th best prospect in the Montreal farm system.
