Nationals Sean Doolittle named MLB Network’s second best reliever

Sean Doolittle, who the Nationals acquired in summer 20187, has been named to the MLB Network’s list of Top 10 Relievers.

And the 32-year-old comes in at No. 2 on the list, right behind Craig Kimbrel of the Boston Red Sox.

I was hoping that this would mean that the MLB Network was about to pull Chris Russo from the mound, but we’re never that lucky, are we?

And the #1 guy doesn't have a team to report to.

The trend of waiting until March to sign half of your free agents must be murder on the already struggling annual preview industry. The Baseball Prospectus annual is out already. I was thinking about writing to ask if there's going to be an "errata" section they send out when the season starts for real.

I haven't gotten a new baseball video game in a while (2003 season I think), but I remember on the rosters, guys who signed late in the free agent period had their data in the game but were on a free agent list rather than on a team roster. It was possible to edit the team rosters though to keep them up to date (or to create a super team if you wanted). These days, however, you can download roster updates throughout the season and it updates the player stats and ratings, too!
