New Yankee Stadium has obstructed view seats

And Deadspin would like to note that those seats are $800 a game.

Meh. A couple of billions of tax payers money should fix these problems in no time.

The answer...clear aluminum. We'll be wealthy beyond our wildest dreams!

I enjoyed sitting near the old girder/column/obstructed viewy things at The Yankee Stadium. Hell, I still remember seeing rust crud carvings in them during the Mantle/Maris HR chase.

Of course, today...you'd be chained to your aisle, arrested, and have your children taken away.

BTW...Puffy-assed Richardson sucked. (by Law I must say this)

It looks like he's puffy all over.

What a ####### disaster NYS is. What a joke. The stadium looks like ####. It was a complete boondoggle, and real fans will be priced out of games. Idiots. How can you #### up the most valuable franchise in the world?

Montgomery Scott may be of some help.

Seriously, can we stop with this? Prices at the old Stadium were astronomical already. And since when is it impossible for rich people to be "real fans"? If the Yankees end up having trouble selling tickets, then we'll talk.

Yeah, two humpbacked whales are a hell of an obstruction.

Two humpbacked whales? Jason Giambi is gone and I don't know who the other one would be.

Mr. Sabathia, I presume.

Joe Girardi wants those humpbacked whales to shut their damned blowholes!

A big problem with this country is too many rich "folks" and not enough rich people.

Its not the regular season ticket holders who are not the 'non-real' fans. Its when the playoffs started, and those same season ticket holders see the high prices they can get for their playoff tickets and sell them off to the highest bidder who goes to games to be seen and not to cheer for the home team.

See, Lakers 2008 Finals at Staples Center.

People might be surprised to hear this, but sometimes people with money have money because they're not in the habit of spending it on stuff they don't care about.

Of course, in the picture provided, it looks like the only thing blocked is the foul ground behind homeplate.

Not ideal, but not exactly a tragedy.

if they were gonna bother to put in the obstructed view seats, then whynahell dint they put on the frieze around the inside, and have a true death valley with the monuments on the warning track

not too much to axe...

Finally they get it! The only way to succeed is to emulate Boston.

Half of the people that have money inherited it. Others are high income so their outgo isn't important. Some are thrifty, but it's probably a minority.
