The Pirate win last night was very surprising to me: a long rain delay on get away day at the end of a bad road trip seemed like a sure time for the road team to lay down. They start three with Milwaukee tonight, and I guess at the end of the series one of them will be a non-contender? The Pirates need to go 7-9 to finish at .500, which means they have to win at least one of the five remaining series.

Brewers and Pirates will face off while the Dodgers travel to Washington. The Cards have a golden opportunity to pull ahead over the next 3 games.
