1. VoodooR Posted: September 05, 2012 at 12:26 AM (#4226802)They just have to go 11-18 now to have their first winning season since 1992. Can they do it?
It will never happen, but it would hilarious for them to finish at .500, tie for the second wildcard, and lose the 163rd game (which, of course, counts as a regular season contest).
Cmon, with four teams separated by a game and a half with four weeks to go, any team can grab it---this is and should continue to be a great race!
It would get especially interesting if either the Giants, the Reds, or the Nats goes on a weeklong mini-swoon, say 1-6 or 2-5, and all of a sudden they've only got a 3- or 4-game lead (or less, if they're SF).
Lotta baseball still to play. And I've only mentioned the NL.
