I would have loved to see that proof that Aaron numbers thin out.

It's too bad about that baseball; that was an astoundingly unique memento.

Fun video.

That was cool. Ironically, my son and I saw Aaron at JFK this past Saturday. We were heading to Detroit to catch 2 Tigers games, a Mud Hens game, and tonight's South Bend Cubs game. Had a hard time finding something for him to sign so I gave my son the paper ticket to one of the games. That's about as good as it gets for father-son baseball trip moments.

FWIW, other neat moments on baseball trip:

Upton's walk-off home run landed about 10 seats to our right, to cap off a wacky game
Teams combined for more than 30 hits
Twins catcher yesterday had 3 PB in one inning
Last night Mud Hens game had a pitcher who threw mostly between 65 and 78. (Sitting there with my baffled college-pitching son who, before his TJ surgery threw nearly 90 and is trying to get back there, was saying that this guy would by far and away be the softest throwing pitcher on his team (and HS team for that matter, though he did get torched for at least 8 runs.) Game moved at a great pace.

Have now been to Colorado, Milwaukee and Detroit this year. Still waiting for one sign that baseball is losing popularity.
