“We have lie after lie after lie…...................................................................................................
Cone was not sure why he was cited and was still searching for the specifics during a telephone interview about four hours later. Representative Mark E. Souder, a Republican from Indiana, had asked McNamee about the part of his deposition in which he referred to Cone and drug testing.
McNamee said he had saved some of Clemens’s syringes and gauze in part because of a conversation he had with Cone. McNamee said that Cone had spoken to him on a Yankees team flight in 2000 and told him that baseball’s owners were not in favor of drug testing, but that they needed a valid excuse to provide to the news media when reporters asked about it.
“In no way, shape or form did I say anything like that to anyone, much less Brian McNamee,” Cone said. “I don’t recall a conversation like that.”

Hear! Hear! But unless Brian McNamee immediately files suit against David Cone, he will be corroborating Cone's statement in the court of public opinion.
In fact, McNamee's silence on the Cone matter speaks volumes. And don't say McNamee hasn't heard Cone's now-authenticated denial yet. Could YOU sleep while your reputation as a drug-dealing perjurer was being besmirched?
The fact that both McNamee and Cone are accused rapists seals McNamee's guilt, just as Kirk Radomski's support for McNamee proved his innocence. It is what it is.
