NYYankeesRumors.com:  New Photos of New Yankee Stadium

Bob Ruffolo gets nearly 100 new pictures from a visit inside New Yankee Stadium.

Some observations:

- Too many Pepsi advertisements:  Up with Coke!
- Creepy life-sized Derek Jeter bobblehead.  With the blank, demon stare in BobbleJeter’s eyes, one would think Ruben Rivera robbed his soul as well.
- Toilets are not ready for prime-time unless your buttocks are seven times that of a normal person’s.
- A lot of planting work to be done, unless the Yankees’ Genetic Warfare department figured out how to organically grow empty bottles of 7-Up.

Sounds like they captured his calm eyes perfectly.

The lifesize Jeter bobblehead has less range than the real Jeter, but takes more walks.

That area in the middle of the bleachers, the hitters backdrop. What is that?

It will obstruct the view to RF for fans in the LF bleachers and vice versa.

There's a restaurant in centerfield. There will be monitors along the walls in the bleachers so you can see what happens when the ball goes out of view.

In the old stadium, if you were in the upper deck you also had an obstructed view, the new stadium has a recessed upper deck, so I imagine that won't be the case in the new park.

Didn't the Yanks lower these bleacher ticket prices when word got out about this?

Yes.

A quick look at these photos and I'm a little saddened by the seeming loss of the cityscape (the elevated train tracks and the court building) past center field.

I'm surprised this kid didn't bother to take a picture of the by-now-infamous and much-discussed blocked view to give people an idea of what it would be like.

The pictures of the inside look rather nice, actually.

I still think the outside looks hideous and frightening, like something designed by a less-warm Howard Roark.
