Oakland A’s to lower stadium beer prices

We can’t afford Josh Donaldson, but we can afford cheap beer!

In a video posted to the A’s Facebook page, Kaval revealed that a 20-ounce serving of one of the 77 beers on tap will cost $10 for premium selections and $8 for domestic during the 2017 season. Comparatively, a 12-ounce beer at the Coliseum cost $5 in 2016, or about $.43 an ounce, according to Team Marketing Report. The discounted domestic beer will cost three cents less per ounce.  According to Kaval, the Coliseum now offers the cheapest beer of any Bay Area stadium.

As someone who has attended multiple NFL games in the area, I can tell you that making it easier for Oakland fans to get drunk can only lead to positive outcomes in the stands.

I look forward to the introduction of their new mascot, Gaping Headwound Harry.

This is fine but what would be really great IMHO is to sell beer until the end of the game, and not cut off sales after 7. There are a large number of people at the game such as myself who are not going to be driving home.

Is anyone interested in an A's tailgate this year?

Depending on the details of such a tailgate, I'd be interested.

77 beers on tap ... they don't draw 77 fans!

If you're looking to take advantage, one of the best microbrew spots within the coliseum is up in the enclosed sportsbar behind home plate on the 2nd tier (the coliseum's one mallparky feature!). The sportsbar itself just has the regulars on tap, but there's a random pizza stand with ~10-15 local craft beers in the corner on the 3rd base side.
