Anthony Recker just nailed Billy Hamilton on a SB attempt. Out by 10 feet.

That was some vicious bite on that pitch from Tanaka. He's got some movement

I'm impressed by his recovery. He could've had a bad outing but he'll leave with a good change for a win. He's made Bautista look bad a few times as well.

Giancarlo "Mike" Stanton hit a mammoth home run that would have left Marlins Park, had it not struck a support beam beyond the stands and beyond the concourse circling the perimeter of the interior. Tonight they had the roof open and the windows beyond center field wide open, it's a really nice night. A couple feet to the right and it would've landed on 14th Ave / Gen. Horacio X. Rodriguez Way / Orange Bowl Trail / Oak Street*. Estimated would-be distance = 484 feet.

It's times like this when I wish I had MLB Network to see the highlight reel.

* OK, only NW 14 Avenue. Dade County has this bad habit of naming certain streets with multiple names just to confuse drivers that much more.

Maybe Lucas Duda doesn't suck.

I am just glad the Mets have decided to give Duda a chance to see if he can stick at first. This may be unwarranted optimism but I think he's going to hit better if he gets to play first rather than the outfield. I am actually just happy that they've decided to go with one of the other. I don't know why the Mets think they'll be able to get something decent for Davis.

I am really excited about Mejia right now. I like the Met system with regard to their starting pitching, both in the minors and the big leagues.
