OK boys, if the Phillies can sweep the hooterville hillbillies, we ought to be able to take a couple of these game too.

#7 - Is this where we hear Cards fans screaming "STRASBURRRRRRRRRRG!!!!" a la Captain Kirk???
In other news, maybe this won't be a do-or-die series between the Nats and Braves, but it could be a do-or-get-deathly-ill series. The Nats are not 100% but have pretty good to really good pitching, while the Braves are without the services of Justin Upton and still have respectable starting pitching. I think if the Nats split the series that should be considered "OK", 3-1 would be great, sweeping the Braves would be jizzmatic.
RADAR shows that storms have mostly passed south of the D.C. area, so I hope there are no rain delays to mess up tonight's tilt. The Lerners really need to get the city to buy them a roof, ya know?

Can I watch a Blue Jays game without jinxing them?

No, no I can't. Melky picked off at second and EE out on a called third strike.

Gavin Floyd called out the trainer and has left the game. Seeing lots of tweets to the effect that he just came back from TJ surgergy and this is awful to see, but I don't know why he left the game yet.

#13 - You let one fan dictate your fandom?
Did you quit driving because there was a bad wreck once?

No, but in my life I have seen 6 accidents. 3 of them was in one weekend in Chicago, so it makes me think that Chicago drivers are the worst in the world. Same with Joey and the Nats.
(Actually I don't have a problem with the Nats, but Joey is an example of everything wrong with certain fans...not fanbases though.)

Every time that Dan McLaughlin starts to become tolerable, he then opens his mouth. He's crying about TLR and Maddux not having a cap on their hof plaque. Shut the #### up. TLR is probably equally identified with the A's and the Cardinals, and as Maddux pointed out, he spent roughly equivalent number of years with the Cubs and Braves, and was developed by the Cubs.
Out of everything to get up in arms over, the cap on the plaque (provided it's not Boggs with a Rays cap) is about the least of any concerns (Dan's argument is "50, 100 years from now, people will visit the hof and without the cap not know who they were identified with....." I don't think he realizes that the plaques have words on them.)

Sean added something new to the website. Go to a team and next to a player, if they are on the disabled list currently, there is a notation next to their name.
