edit: Oh goody! Now they're going to extras. I can't wait to see how this unfolds.

I was going to say in the 16th inning when someone does something really dumb, but I'm not too sure these teams can hold out on doing something really dumb that long today.

Reds blow it in the 9th against the Rox, Stubbs with the walk-off 3-run homer off Hoover, who replaced Chapman after he walked the first four batters to open the inning..

Final: 10-9 Rockies, down 9-5 to start their half.

Nats come from behind for the second night in a row to sweep their second consecutive series! Unbelievable!! Remember where you are so you'll remember where you were!!!

About the 10th or so, F.P. described the Nats-Bucs game as "a sloppy heavyweight bout." A pretty good analogy, that. At least the Nats showed some resiliency.

This Nationals win makes me feel a little dirty. Then again, the Pirates were not to be left out of the defensive craziness so cancel that.

Now watch the Diamondbacks come in and sweep them in 4 games.

I know it's strange as a Nats fan, but I feel bad about sweeping the Pirates. Honestly wouldn't have minded seeing them take one, they're just such a lovable team.

Asdrubal Cabrera may not be lighting it up with the bat as a National but man, it feels like he's responsible for at least one highlight a night out there when he's playing for the Nats. Today it was two. The 9th-inning game-tying RBI single, and then...well, I agree with Charlie & Dave on the radio: that behind the back toss to start the double play tonight was one of the defensive plays of the year for the team.

I know it's strange as a Nats fan, but I feel bad about sweeping the Pirates.

Hows abouts trading those good feelings for the Pirates and turn them around into bad feelings for the D-bags since they were the team who ordered the hit on the Pirates' MVP Mister McCutchen?

I'm glad the Pirates in are the NL Central because they're my secret rooting interest, but I'm perfectly fine with the Nats sweeping them this weekend.

Way back in the topic, but...

It's hard to relax with a closer not named Kimbrel. There just aren't any other closers in the game that don't put a man on at a rate of one per appearance.

Koji Uehara. Even if you don't want to count the years he wasn't closing, last year his WHIP was 0.57 and this year it's 0.78.
