Did I just hear that Andrelton Simmons is seeing only 3 pitches per PA?

Sounds about right. He should be batting 8th/9th and who ever is in CF should lead off. (Yes, that means Upton, who for whatever reason has hit a little better leading off and at least his first plate appearance won't be striking out with a runner on.)

Players take slow home run trots and get hit all the time. Why is the Jordany Valdespin thing apparently the biggest deal in the world?

Apparently "Valdespin" is Spanish for "Milledge".

how did the Colorado closer not get into a 12 inning game?

what's laughable is brewer management was talking about Betancourt's 'new found patience' earlier in the season

First CG shutout of Samardzija's career. Even if it's the Cubs, this felt like a cakewalk after Borboun hit the homer with the way BPJ looked.

The Red Sox logo and numbers are smaller than the Phillies' so they look less ridiculous with the wacky camo antics.

A double and a HR for Gattis and his new batting location. He now leads the team in doubles and RBIs.

Bozo sitting on the Green Monster tries desperately to turn Howard's double into a home run. Just misses the grab.

AND now Howard knows he can't make the first out at third, so he turns around and gets caught in a rundown.

That was some spectacularly dumb base running by Howard.

Domonic Brown with his 10th home run of the year! Would be down to an 8-4 deficit if not for Howard's buffoonery.

Nah, if Howard doesn't mess up the Sox have the out at first.

Helluva game at Dodger Stadium. I did also see that Bloomberg shot of him eating a full box of popcorn, no doubt cooked in coconut oil. What I didn't see was a tiny cup. tsk tsk tsk.

The Gattis double was Impaler-quality hitting.

Andrew Miller is significantly slower than Ben Revere.

Just got home from 5-hour drive.

Ha ha ha Yankee losers.
   120. Los Angeles El Hombre de Anaheim Posted: May 27, 2013 at 11:50 PM (#4453345)
A blargh game for the Angels. Three GIDPs, left a ton on the table even though they scored 7 times. CJ Wilson with an awful outing. Streak is over, but this was a game they should have won.
   121. Randomly Fluctuating Defensive Metric Posted: May 28, 2013 at 12:21 AM (#4453357)
Didi Gregorious has to be one of the best stories in baseball this season. Took Darvish downtown to tie the game in the eighth. Can't get over how talented this dude is. Left-handed hitting shortstop with a wizard glove who can actually hit!
