Happy Father's day.
   2. cardsfanboy Posted: June 18, 2017 at 01:54 PM (#5478282)
1st inning of game three of the Cardinal/Orioles series, and there have now been 15 homeruns hit.
   3. cardsfanboy Posted: June 18, 2017 at 02:04 PM (#5478286)
make that 16.
   4. Franco American Posted: June 18, 2017 at 02:04 PM (#5478287)
How is Bronson Arroyo still pitching?
   5. cardsfanboy Posted: June 18, 2017 at 02:09 PM (#5478290)
Make that 17.... Baltimore with a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the second, all runs scored on solo homeruns.
   6. Franco American Posted: June 18, 2017 at 02:11 PM (#5478291)
Beer league softball.
   7. cardsfanboy Posted: June 18, 2017 at 02:47 PM (#5478299)
Piscotty with his second homerun of the game to make the score 3-2 Orioles.
   8. Bote Man Posted: June 18, 2017 at 02:55 PM (#5478303)
Bushnell, FLA high school changed their electronic sign to congratulate Garrett Cave on being drafted by the Giants. That's got to be the most excitement they've had in centuries.
   9. cardsfanboy Posted: June 18, 2017 at 03:19 PM (#5478309)
Trumbo with a two run homerun extends the Orioles lead 5-2 in the fifth inning, the 19th homerun hit in this series.
   10. Ziggy: The Platonic Form of Russell Branyan Posted: June 18, 2017 at 03:24 PM (#5478311)
Trey Mancini has been a pleasant surprise. He looks to me like the real deal.
   11. cardsfanboy Posted: June 18, 2017 at 03:25 PM (#5478312)
Fowler takes a homerun away, but the next batter went deep... 7-2 Orioles....
   12. DKDC Posted: June 18, 2017 at 03:30 PM (#5478316)
Father's Day has given me a rare chance to watch a live game, and given how shitty they've been lately, I can't wait to see how they'll screw this one up.

Perfectly pleasant game so far, including two triples in an inning for a team that hasn't hit 20 total at home in the last 3+ seasons.
   13. What did Billy Ripken have against ElRoy Face? Posted: June 18, 2017 at 04:03 PM (#5478325)
I feel bad saying this, but Hector Rondon with a 5-run lead makes me a little nervous.
   14. cardsfanboy Posted: June 18, 2017 at 04:17 PM (#5478330)
Fowler hits a 2 run homerun to close the gap a little, 8-4 Orioles, 21 home runs hit in the series so far.
Fowler now has hit a homerun in four consecutive games.
   15. cardsfanboy Posted: June 18, 2017 at 04:21 PM (#5478332)
Molina makes it 8-5, with, yes you guessed it, a homerun.
   16. cardsfanboy Posted: June 18, 2017 at 04:23 PM (#5478333)
I don't know what the record is for most homeruns in a 3 game series, most ever in a game is 12,(been done twice) so theoretically the most it could possibly be is 34, but I'm guessing it's probably about 26 or 27.
   17. DEFCON: jive Posted: June 18, 2017 at 04:30 PM (#5478335)
Why are the Marlins putting in a rookie pitcher, 3 career innings, into a tied game in the bottom of the ninth? Literally no other bullpen pitchers?
   18. DEFCON: jive Posted: June 18, 2017 at 04:32 PM (#5478337)
Followed by a single through a poorly positioned five man infield. Just awful tactical managing by Mattingly.
   19. cardsfanboy Posted: June 18, 2017 at 04:37 PM (#5478340)
Cardinals couldn't make the comeback, final score 8-5, lost two out of three against the Orioles.
   20. LA Podcasting Hombre of Anaheim Posted: June 18, 2017 at 05:10 PM (#5478351)
Royals just eating the Angels for lunch now. This series has been brutal.
   21. Tom Nawrocki Posted: June 18, 2017 at 06:31 PM (#5478362)
Nolan Arenado with a three-run, walk-off homer to both complete his cycle and complete a four-game sweep of the Giants, 7-5. Wow.
   22. AT-AT at bat@AT&T Posted: June 18, 2017 at 06:38 PM (#5478367)
Man, I don't like the Yanks losing in galaxies far, far away... but at least I am also an A's friend.
So, maybe... dear Baseball Gods... give the A's a chance to make the playoffs !
   23. AT-AT at bat@AT&T Posted: June 18, 2017 at 06:53 PM (#5478378)
Doolittle in the 9th. What could go wrong ?
   24. Franco American Posted: June 18, 2017 at 07:14 PM (#5478384)
The NL West is a killer.

Poor Yankees.
   25. Bote Man Posted: June 18, 2017 at 07:21 PM (#5478386)
Poor Yankees.

Yeah. Boo-friggin-hoo for the Yankees.
   26. Joyful Calculus Instructor Posted: June 18, 2017 at 07:45 PM (#5478392)
Ah! The Diamondbacks and Rockies both trailed after 8 innings and both won. This is getting ridiculous.
   27. Tom Nawrocki Posted: June 18, 2017 at 07:48 PM (#5478393)
Nah, the Rockies were up 3-2 after 8, coughed up three runs in the top of the ninth, then got four in the bottom, the last three on the Arenado walk-off.
   28. Joyful Calculus Instructor Posted: June 18, 2017 at 07:49 PM (#5478395)
Oops, the Rockies lead by 1 after 8, gave up 3 in the top of the ninth and scored 4 in the bottom half.

Edit: coke to Tom
   29. Franco American Posted: June 18, 2017 at 07:59 PM (#5478397)
A three-team race is excellent.
   30. the Hugh Jorgan returns Posted: June 18, 2017 at 08:03 PM (#5478400)
The NL West is a killer.

Poor Yankees.

yes, we all sympathise with your plight as the underdog. The little team from nowhere and how they have to battle forces beyond their control in order to reach such lofty heights. We really do care and share in your journey towards success.
   31. Nero Wolfe, Indeed Posted: June 18, 2017 at 08:41 PM (#5478413)
Nah, the Rockies were up 3-2 after 8, coughed up three runs in the top of the ninth, then got four in the bottom, the last three on the Arenado walk-off.

And Arenado's HR gave him the cycle.
