On Jeff [Francoeur] Ears

Frenchy’s minor league teammates convinced him that one of the pitchers on his team was deaf. For a month.

Wait, aren't the veterans supposed to prank the newbies, not the other way around?

Travis Buck is still in baseball! Travis Buck can still walk! This is all very surprising.

Also, this is amazing.

I thought this was the greatest thing ever. The scene at the end when they are showing the movie to Frenchy he STILL doesn't believe it.

Too good.

Take a look at that roster. Many are career minor leaguers. The person I was most surprised to see on the roster was Jason Lane - as a pitcher!

And yes, this is fantastic.

If knowing someone can hear was so important, why don't they put it on the scoreboard?

Did the team reveal the truth by taking Francouer to The Signal Season of Dummy Hoy?

I think Jason Lane is trying to reinvent himself as a knuckleballer, no?

Conventional repertoire. High 80s FB, change (best pitch), and curve.

To which Frenchy replied: "Awww, you guys are just the greatest!!"

I'd like to see Francoeur reinvent himself as a pitcher. It's pretty clear he can't hit, but the guy has always had an incredible arm.

It is amazing to see how many cup of coffee, ex-MLB players there are on that team. I know no one is forcing them to play, but AAA has to be a sad, bittersweet level; guys who are 1 or 2 injuries away from being back in the show, but in daily danger of getting passed by the up and comers on the AA team.

Based on his hitting performance in recent years, Jeff Francoeur is their new blind teammate.

Frenchy's teams went 11-1 in games he was intentionally walked. Proof there are people dumber than Jeff.

But I'll bet it's hard to find a team-mate as sweetly good natured.

The Jays just called up Munenori Kawasaki.
